nextmedia acquires Popular Science and Science Illustrated

nextmedia today announced that it will publish world leading titles Popular Science and Science Illustrated magazines under licence from international publisher Bonnier.

Popular Science has over 140 years of history in the USA and provides the tech savvy man with the latest innovations in Communications, Sports and Medicine, Automotive, Computers, Home Entertainment, Environment, Photography and Gadgets – the ultimate guide to what’s new and what’s next!
The Australian Edition, published monthly, was launched four years ago, carving out a unique place in the market and has built a strong reader following.

Science Illustrated is a magazine for intellectually curious men and women with a passion for science, discovery and adventure and a desire to share that passion with their families. Published bi-monthly Science Illustrated covers everything from the beginning of life to the breathtaking technology of the future: from the depth of the oceans to the most distant objects in the universe.

Commenting on the licence of the magazines David Gardiner, Chief Executive Officer of nextmedia said “I am very excited about taking on the licence of Popular Science and Science Illustrated for the Australian and New Zealand markets and growing their presence here. The next issue of Popular Science will be on sale on 31st October 2012.
