Nextmedia, publisher of leading surf and snowboarding titles Tracks, Waves and ANZ Snowboarding magazines and related digital properties, announce that long serving GM Marcus Hucker is leaving to take up a new challenge in media. Derek Recio has been appointed to the role of National Advertising Manger and together with Marketing and Sales manager Damian Martin, will take on the role of Key Account management across the board sports portfolio.
Derek Recio, the incumbent NSW Advertising Manager and National Advertising Manager on Waves and Snowboarding is the natural selection for the ad managers role on Tracks with over 6 years of experience with the titles. Team mate and QLD counterpart Damian Martin has been with the titles for 10 years is well placed to add to his current Marketing and Sales duties the Key Account management role which includes Torquay, the all important commercial HQ of surfing.

For over 44 years the flag ship masthead Tracks, has carved a unique and loyal following as the leading voice for Australian surf culture. Published monthly, Tracks’ irreverent, humorous and sometimes controversial tone continues to evolve and reverberate with its audience and is now offered across multiple digital platforms, also having a strong following in the social media sphere.
