Inside Sport has again been recognised for its excellence by the Australian Sports Commission, at its annual Media Awards. At a glamorous function in Sydney last Thursday night, the magazine received a High Commendation for the Best Coverage of Sport By An Organisation during the last year. This is the award that the magazine won last year.
Inside Sport writer Jonathan Horn also received a High Commendation for the Best Contribution To The Coverage of Sport By An Individual (Print Media) for the series of articles he has produced over the last 12 months.
The Sports Commission said:
“In 2010, Inside Sport magazine has remained the pre-eminent voice of quality sports journalism in Australia. Its combination of agenda-setting investigations, insightful profiles, robust commentaries and irreverent humour has set the highest standard.
While Inside Sport prides itself on its presentation of major issues and figures at the elite end of Australian sport, it also provides in-depth treatment on issues relating to minority and grassroots sport.”
